This sterling silver necklace features a marquise-shaped Dalmatian jasper gemstone accented with a handcrafted sterling silver bail with a hammered texture. This type of jasper is known for its spotted pattern that resembles the Dalmatian breed of dog. The matrix consists of mineral inclusions of brown iron oxide, black tourmaline & other minerals which create the natural "spots" in the stone. It has a modern, earthy style and makes a great gift for a natural gemstone lover - or a nice addition to your own jewelry collection.
MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 2" in length (from top of bail to bottom of stone) and 1" at widest point of stone. The bail was handcrafted out of solid sterling silver sheet; hammered for texture; then oxidized and accented with abstract twists of sterling silver wire. It is signed on the back with my initials and sterling stamp. Comes on a 20" stainless steel chain with lobster claw closure.
