This handcrafted necklace features a natural poppy jasper gemstone accented with a handcrafted sterling silver bail. Poppy jasper is a variation of brecciated jasper and is characterized by its orbicular patterns which resemble poppy flowers. It has hues of earthy, reddish brown against a taupe background. This unique necklace will make a great gift for a natural stone lover!
MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 2-5/8" in length and 1-1/4" at widest point. I created a sterling silver bail to surround the stone; then wrapped it securely with sterling silver wire. The metal was textured to echo the natural matrix of the stone; then oxidized to enhance the detail. It is signed on the back with my initials and sterling stamp.
► CHAIN OPTIONS: Pendant may be purchased WITH OR WITHOUT the chain. If you select the "With Sterling Chain" option, it will come on the chain shown in the photos - an 18" solid sterling silver snake chain with lobster claw closure.
