These sterling silver earrings feature Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones and fossilized red coral beads. They have a colorful, modern style with a touch of southwestern flair. The turquoise originates from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona which is known for producing high quality turquoise that is a stunning shade of sky blue. This mine closed in 2012, so this type of turquoise is becoming increasingly hard to find, which adds to its value.
MEASUREMENTS: Total length: 2" from top of sterling silver ear wires and 3/4" at widest point. I created the shapes out of solid sterling silver sheet; hand textured the metal; then oxidized it to highlight the detail. They are accented with textured sterling silver beads. Earrings are lightweight and comfortable to wear.
NOTE: Please refer to measurements above. Photos are enlarged to show details.
